1. The service

SelfScope — Self-Audit Lab for Security Professionals (the “Service”) is operated by Browns Assorted Merchandise (“we”, “us”). The Service is a web-based self-audit lab for cybersecurity and penetration-testing professionals: a real browser fingerprint self-audit, connection and proxy health checks for endpoints you supply, a synthetic persona lab for authorised testing, and local security utilities (hashing, JWT inspection, encoders, and authorised single-host connectivity checks), with audit logging, 2FA, and API keys.

Honesty disclosure. The self-audit tools measure only — the Service does not anonymise traffic, spoof or mask fingerprints, proxy your traffic, scan networks or ranges, or provide exploit capability. Simulation/training elements remain labelled as such: the legacy dashboard statistics, proxy-chain and terminal views are simulated demo data. By paying for the Service you acknowledge exactly what each tool does and does not do, as described here and in the app.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter a contract in your jurisdiction, provide accurate registration information, and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. One account is for one person; do not share, rent, or resell account access unless we agree otherwise in writing. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts as described in section 7 and in the Acceptable Use Policy.

3. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service is governed by the Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: authorised penetration testing, security research, and legitimate privacy protection only. No unauthorised access, hacking, or other illegal activity.

4. Billing — subscription

Pro subscription access is billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, at the price shown at checkout: Pro Monthly $29/month or Pro Annual $279/year. Subscriptions start with a 14-day free trial; no charge is made during the trial, and your payment method is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Your subscription renews automatically (monthly or yearly, matching your plan) and your payment method is charged until you cancel. You authorise Stripe and us to charge your payment method on that basis. A Free tier (account plus a limited fingerprint self-audit, up to 3 saved reports, no card required) is also available and is not billed.

Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from the “Manage Subscription” button in the app (Stripe Customer Portal) or by contacting [CONTACT EMAIL]. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund amounts already charged. Unless section 6 says otherwise, your access continues until the end of the paid billing period shown in your billing status, and then ends.

Failed payments. If a recurring payment fails, Stripe may retry it. Access may be suspended or ended if payment is not completed, as reflected in your billing status.

5. Billing — lifetime (one-time) purchase

Founder Lifetime access is a single one-time payment at the price shown at checkout (currently displayed as $499 one-time), offered only to the first 100 buyers and then withdrawn. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of this product / Service as operated by Browns Assorted Merchandise — not the lifetime of the purchaser — for so long as the Service is offered to the public in substantially its current form. It does not include future, separately-priced products or future metered services, and it does not survive a permanent shutdown of the Service (see section 9).

6. Refunds — 30-day money-back guarantee

30-day money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied, contact [CONTACT EMAIL] within 30 days of a payment (your first Pro subscription payment after any free trial, a Pro Annual payment, or a Founder Lifetime payment) and we will refund that payment in full via Stripe. Refunds are typically processed by Stripe within 5–10 business days of approval, depending on your bank. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals; it does not by itself request a refund — contact us within the 30-day window to use the guarantee. Payments older than 30 days are not refundable under this guarantee, except where the law requires otherwise.

Nothing in this section removes any refund or consumer rights you have under the law of your jurisdiction, including in the State of Nevada if different. Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in immediate suspension of access while they are resolved.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice where the law allows, if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if payment fails, or if we are required to do so by law. You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time as described in section 4.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design and content (other than content you submit) belong to Browns Assorted Merchandise or its licensors. These Terms give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service while your account is active and paid; they do not transfer any ownership.

9. Availability, changes, and shutdown

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may update prices for future billing periods with notice to subscribers before the change takes effect on them. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. If we permanently shut down the Service, we will give reasonable advance notice to the contact email on active accounts where practicable; any refund consequences of a shutdown are as stated in section 6 and required by law.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. In particular, we do not warrant that the self-audit tools or the labelled simulated workflows represent, predict, or substitute for professional security testing or advice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of Browns Assorted Merchandise arising from the Service is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, except where the consumer-protection law of your place of residence requires otherwise.

12. Changes to these Terms and contact
